About the area
Grand Lake o’ the Cherokees sits in the Ozark foothills of northeast Oklahoma — 46,500 acres of water, 1,300 miles of shoreline, and a season for every reason to come. It’s big enough to get lost on and small enough to feel local.
We’re on the Elk River arm at the north end of the lake, near Grove. It’s an easy, unpretentious small town — coffee, restaurants, a farmers market, and a surprising number of people who moved here on purpose.

Four seasons, honestly
What to expect
Spring
Dogwoods and redbuds bloom along the shore. Crappie spawn. Sixties and seventies most days.
Summer
Warm evenings, long days on the water, fireflies after sunset. High 80s–90s.
Fall
Hardwoods turn. Quieter lake, excellent bass fishing, crisp mornings.
Winter
Slower season, lower rates, great for a quiet getaway. Fireplaces earn their keep.
